I really like this watch – but – I’m having the same issue as another reviewer, it simply will not synch up with the atomic clock. I’ve tried everything but it just won’t synch. I even left it in an upstairs window facing Colorado overnight but still no good. The watch shows that it’s last synch was back in July of 2008. I contacted Casio tech support but they were absolutely no help at all. After verifying the watch was optioned correctly, they told me to set the time manually. Gee, thanks, I buy a watch that is supposed to automatically synch up with the atomic clock and they recommend that I set the time manually?!? Looks I’m sending this one back and will try another. I’ll update this review after I receive the replacement.
Update: I received the replacement watch and it appears to be working fine. It has synchronized with the atomic clock all but one night since I received it. This is a great watch! If not for the bad watch that I initially received, I would have given this watch 5 stars!

Casio Men’s WV200A-1AV Waveceptor Atomic Sport Watch
Casio has been my favorite watch since they started making them. I’ve had them most of my life. However, it seems that all the one’s coming out now have such a low sound on the alarms or for chimes for on the hour is useless. You would have to have the thing next to your ear to hear it. If you were asleep, forget it. I love everything else about their new line. Everything works great but that. Too bad as it was the real deal breaker.

The purchase of this watch has shown me that Casio’s workmanship has remained consistent and a great value. The price was excellent for such an accurate timepeace. This is my second purchase of a similar timepeace made by Casio and will always look to this company first for accuracy and durability.

Casio Men’s WV200A-1AV Waveceptor Atomic Sport Watch
Having used this watch for about six months I can say it is very dependable, durable and a great value. Living in PA unfortunately does not allow the atomic clock syncronization to take place – apparently we are too far from the Colorado timing source. Also dispite my advanced degress – getting this watch to do anything other than tell time is always a refferal back to the operator’s manual.

The only issue I had with the watch, if you can really cal it that, was that I had to wait overnight to get the time to correctly show daylight savings time. Other than that, it’s a great value.
