Casio watch faces are generally too cluttered with dials and gimmicks, but this one is a great design with all the features you might want in a watch. Its digital display is a big plus in size and functions available. This watch looks terrific at arms length and of course keeps precision time plus has glow in dark hands. What this watch does not have is a good scratch resistant crystal face, a quality metal case and a handsome metal band. I would buy one like that in a heart beat. But this one is relatively inexpensive and functional. Go for it.

Casio Men’s Solar Atomic Watch WVA430J-1A
The watch is very light and comfortable. Analogue face is clear, clean, and easy to read. Feature set is a little over the top (at least, there are a lot more than I need or want to learn how to operate) but the solar and atomic functions are great, and the user can just ignore the functions that he does not need. Unlike some reviewers, I found the setup pretty straight-forward and quick (and I am 58 years old). The instruction manual does require magnifying glasses to read easily, but if the user follows the directions, he will soon have the watch set up. I am also pleased with the consistency with which the watch reads the signal from the atomic clock. I live in Illinois, a long way from the Colorado transmitter, and because of that, some of my atomic clocks and devices have trouble picking up the signal, especially in bad weather. However, this Casio gets it every night. In all, a great choice at a very reasonable price.

Very happy with this product… clear display and totally automated operation.. not battery to replace and absolute accurate time. Did apply the recommended separate protective cover or the face plate to prevent scratching.

From the manual I should be able to cycle through “date”, “receiving indicator” and “current time” by pressing the “A” button on the watch. The watch instead cycles through “current time”, “receiving indicator” and “seconds.” That is, instead of the date a digital display of the seconds (ticking along) appears.
